March Madness

Don’t Think

Homework is due tomorrow,You haven’t done that essay yet and its five pages, You only have two days left for it, You don’t have a job, You don’t have money, Your parents will not like it if you didn’t do well on the ACT, You didn’t finish the math section, You’ll go to college soon, You don’t even know how to do your own hair, You aren’t healthy, why do you not eat right?, You have a disease that people don’t think are real, There’s no cure for it, What will you do when you’re alone next year and you get sick and have to go to the hospital?, What will you do when no one believes you about the disease and won’t help you?, What-

STOP!

Don’t think..D-Don’t think about that. Your book! Look at that!

What about homework,You have an essay, You have-

Don’t think, Don’t think, Don’t think, Don’t think…Read, Read the book, go there, go where none of this exists. Escape. Just for a while, just until you can go to bed and try to forget about everything.

What about how you avoid everything, what about your Anxiet-

Don’t think,Don’t think,Don’t think… Just read.

And whatever you do don’t stop.

Everything is fine. This isn’t avoidance.

It’s survival.
